
Each day can be a starting point to going forward. There are days where I need to remember to forget. I know that sounds strange, but think about it. We all have things that we need to forget about in order to move forward. For me, it is when I forget how certain foods make me feel after eating them. For instants, sugar, processed sugars, make me so sick, but cupcakes and brownies look so good, lol. I know that if I eat one, I will be feeling not so good later. I have to remember what that feels like and not go there. I need to FORGET the taste and the looks and keep to remembering that the choice is mine, to eat or to not eat, to feel sick or to feel great.
So in this instance, I need to forget and to reach forward to what is good for me, what God has provided for me, and to “forget” what is behind. I cannot change the past, I cannot redo what mistakes I made yesterday, or even the last minute, but I can reach out to what is before me, and know that God is there to help me along the way, provide for me, and catch me when I stumble.
This is only one example of things that I need to forget. What are yours?
