It seems like only yesterday that it was November, and we were seeing ads on tv, on the radio, in the mail, about who has what on sale, what can you buy for everyone on your list. Flyers coming in the mail each and every day!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!
It makes me feel like running. Then, while at the mall, with the Christmas train already running for the kids, someone waved at me. It was Santa!! And this one had a real beard, real suit that fit, and a real smile on his face. He made me smile too. He reminded me that there are people out there that do things so make others happy.

I do love this time of the year, just not all the advertising. We don’t have a tree any more, so no time needed to put up then take down all the ornaments, but we do have a manger scene that we built. It looks so beautiful, and it was so much fun to create. Something we did together!
We do have tons of nutcrackers that go up around the house. David would like them to stay up all year, LOLOL. This. year I told him he was in in charge of putting them all out, as they are his! He has around 30. I will count them this year too!
Now we are looking for things to do this season to help others. How to make another person smile, feel good, know that they are loved by God and that they do count. This is not an easy task, but we do this all year, not just now. Just telling someone hi, giving a smile, telling someone that their hair looks pretty, you like their coat, or taking time to stop and talk for a minute or two. You never know what kind of day they had, and hopefully just a word or two will help.
These are a very small gift to give someone, and it also gives to us as well, We get to see their smile also!
I know that children are looking forward to getting gifts, so we do shop some. And I love to look for something that I know the their person will like. So, if someone sends a gift, just smile and say thank you. Then sender means it from their heart, just wanting to make you happy.
What do I want for Christmas? I have almost everything I could ever want! My family, friends, a wonderful home. And the most precious of all, God is here watching over me. This I know, I have lived through trials for the last few years. And He walked with me the entire way! I am not perfect, but He doesn’t care, He loves me anyway. He loves all of you too!!
So what do I want? For everyone to know God’s love like I do. And maybe more pictures of the grandkids?!?!
