Miracles?

Do you believe in miracles? Have you ever seen a miracle or been the recipient of a miracle? These questions were part of a bible study this past week. It does make you think. Have you seen a miracle? Have you experienced a miracle?

Most people would say no, that they have never seen a miracle or had one. But there are others who will tell you that, yes, I believe in miracles!

Some would look at small things as miracles. A child watching a seed planted, grow into a blooming flower, or a carrot grown to eat from the garden, they are young and do not yet know the intricacies of seeds and growing, so to them that is a miracle.

Sometimes we lose something and when we find it again, we call that a miracle.

When the doctors tell you that you should not even be here, that they have no explanation as to why except that it must have been a miracle, then you tend to believe, and to know, that there are miracles. David had that happen after he had a heart attack.

I, myself, and some other people that I know, have gone through cancer, that would have killed us, but we are still here. I consider that a miracle, as I also know some who did not make it through.

I do know this, I do believe in miracles. I have more time with David. I have more time with my family, my son, his wife, all the grandkids. I have more time to enjoy what is here, and I am trying to do my best to stay here longer, live better, do things that make memories.

I also know what I believe about how these miracles came about. I did not do this, others did, with God’s help. (Even David’s doctors said this).

As Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 19, verse 26: “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.” (MSG version)

I would love for everyone I know to see a miracle, or have one. I would like everyone to open your eyes to what we see everyday, as well. You never know how many time miracles happen, and we don’t even see them. Miracles? Treasures? Memories for your heart? Look through the eyes of a child, and see what’s there.
